Stamp for ceramics – Marking for food contact (EU Regulation 1935/2004)
Today, more and more controls are being carried out on artisan potters and ceramists. It is therefore important to distinguish between pottery intended for food use and that which is not. If a piece is a container, it could, by definition, hold food. If your glaze is not food-safe (ideally tested in a laboratory), you are required to apply the following logo to your pottery:
Add a professional, compliant finish to your creations with this stamp, specially designed for marking ceramic objects. Inspired by the European food contact regulation EU 1935/2004, this stamp allows you to clearly indicate whether your pottery is suitable for food use or not.
Precise and easy to use, it prints clearly on the raw clay and ensures optimal legibility after firing. Ideal for potters who value transparency and quality, it enhances your pieces whilst boosting your customers’ confidence.
